Bachelor in Dental Science (B.D.S.)
Early clinical training
Hands-on experience with real patients
Clinical experience across different areas of dentistry
The Bachelor in Dental Science (B.D.S.) is a clinically focused dental program built around practical learning. You begin by developing the scientific understanding and technical precision required for dental practice. Your training starts in pre-clinical laboratories, where you learn procedures and work with modern dental materials in a controlled environment. As your studies progress, you move into supervised clinical training with real patients. Step by step, you develop practical skills, clinical judgement, and the confidence needed for professional dental care. The program follows the educational standards of the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE).
Aristotle
Your clinical training follows a clear and structured path. It begins in the 4th semester with pre-clinical laboratory training. In simulation laboratories, you practice dental procedures in controlled environments using artificial teeth and simulated oral models. From the 7th semester onward, you move into supervised clinical practice with real patients in the university clinics. Clinical education requires the completion of a defined number of dental procedures that gradually increase in complexity. Step by step, you develop the experience and professional confidence required for modern dental practice.
Aristotle University has a long tradition of educating highly skilled dentists.
At AU, you gain:

The five-year structure of the program provides a clear and focused learning path, preparing you for professional and academic opportunities across Europe and internationally. The School of Dentistry also holds strong international academic recognition. It is regularly included in global rankings such as the Shanghai Ranking (ARWU) and URAP in Dentistry and Oral Sciences.
Imagine yourself examining patients. Diagnosing dental conditions. Restoring teeth and improving oral health through careful clinical work. This degree prepares you for careers in clinical dentistry, oral health care, and dental research. You may work in dental clinics, hospitals, or specialised dental practices. You can also continue with postgraduate studies or clinical specialisation in Greece or abroad. You graduate ready to work in environments where science, precision, and patient care come together.
